We are delighted to welcome back Dom Pipkin to headline our Saturday night concert.
With appearances across the globe backing musicians such as Paloma Faith, Ray Davies, Paul Weller and Morcheeba, the “UK’s best-kept piano secret” is one of the gems of the blues piano scene. A specialist in New Orleans piano styles, with decades of boogieing under his belt, Dom regularly wows audiences with his virtuosity and deep grooves. He has appeared at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, SXSW, countless times in session on BBC Radio 2 and Jazz FM, and at clubs, festivals and theatres across Europe. He was piano teacher to Jonathan Ross, and has played privately for the likes of the late film director Stanley Kubrik. Pipkin’s shows are moving, funny, rocking, and will leave you smacked around the face with some of the toughest piano playing you’ll hear in Europe right now. Dom plays sessions at the the Swan on Friday morning, Stur of the Moment on Friday afternoon and again at the Swan on Saturday morning.
